Public safety and the well-being of staff, clients and volunteers of Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka are our top priority. If you require a face covering for your appointment, we have plenty available at all locations. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering for any reason, please notify your worker prior to attending your appointment.

Joyce Kope House:

Joyce Kope House will remain open and operational for women and gender diverse individuals exiting intuitions or experiencing homelessness in Simcoe County. Individuals experiencing homelessness from outside the jurisdiction of Simcoe County will not be admitted at this time.

In March 2020, Joyce Kope House was moved into a temporary hotel location to ensure the program could safety operate and implement all public health recommendations. The program expanded from 25 safe beds to the current 49 bed temporary hotel program. Many local community organizations have partnered to provide on-site supports to address housing, health, mental health, justice support and harm reduction during the pandemic.
